Masuria events July–August 2026 — the season calendar

The two biggest summer events in Masuria in 2026 both happen in Mrągowo: the 27th Masurian Cabaret Night on Friday 10 July (7:30 PM) and the 45th Country & Folk Picnic on 24-25 July. Both take place at the amphitheatre by Lake Czos. If you're planning a charter, it's worth mapping your route so you can steal a day for a trip into town.

A season in Masuria isn't only about the water. Between one tack and the next, plenty happens on land — concerts, festivals, open-air events. We've gathered the things that are locked in into a single table, so you can plan your cruise around the events rather than the other way round.

The first two events have firm dates, and they're the ones that pull in the biggest crowds. The rest are recurring things that come back every summer — it's worth checking the exact dates on the organisers' websites as you go, because they can shift around.

27th Masurian Cabaret Night — 10 July

One evening, the whole top tier of Polish cabaret. On stage, among others: Marcin Daniec, Jerzy Kryszak, Ani Mru Mru, Katarzyna Pakosińska, Andrzej Grabowski, Kabaret Chyba and Poparzeni Kawą Trzy. It kicks off at 7:30 PM, with a broadcast on TVP2 around 8:05 PM, so if you can't get a ticket you'll catch it from the couch — or the cockpit, if you've got signal.

Tickets are only available from third-party sellers — mazurskanockabaretowa.pl and kupbilecik. We've covered more details in a separate post: Masurian Cabaret Night in Mrągowo 2026.

45th Country & Folk Picnic — 24-25 July

One of the oldest festivals in Poland — only Opole, Sopot and the Warsaw Autumn are older. This year's special guest is Albert Lee, straight from Los Angeles, and alongside him: Tomasz Szwed, Michael Lonstar, Zbigniew Hofman & Babsztyl, Gang Marcela, Alicja Boncol and Cezary Makiewicz. The 45th-anniversary gala falls on Friday 24.07.

On top of that there's the "Picnic in the City" (23-26.07) — free concerts and events in Mrągowo itself, no ticket needed. Amphitheatre tickets you buy externally: piknikcountry.pl, ebilet.pl, kupbilecik. We've laid out the programme here: Country Picnic in Mrągowo 2026.

Just to be clear, in case: we don't sell tickets to any of these events. We do charters, not ticketing.

Important: you can't sail a charter yacht into Mrągowo

Let's be honest here, because it's a common misconception. Lake Czos, where the amphitheatre stands, isn't on the navigable route of the Great Masurian Lakes. The Dajna river connects Czos only with small local lakes, not with the main route. So you won't sail up in a cabin yacht from Tałty or Śniardwy and moor under the stage.

Treat Mrągowo as a land trip from your charter base. The closest you'll get is from Mikołajki (Lake Tałty) — around 20-25 km by road. Car, bus or bike and you're there. You can paddle around Czos itself in a kayak or a small boat, but that's a whole different story from cruising the route.

How to plan a charter around the events

The simplest approach: base yourself in Mikołajki or Giżycko, cruise the route all week, and on concert day moor in a harbour with good access and hop over to Mrągowo for the evening. In the morning you're back on the water. The festival doesn't eat into your holiday — it's the cherry on top.

It's worth grabbing dates early, because July weeks in Masuria go fast. If you're catching the season at the last minute, take a look at last-minute deals in Masuria — sometimes a free boat turns up for exactly the week with a concert. You'll see the whole fleet on the yachts for charter page.

Frequently asked questions

Which event is worth building a holiday around? The Country Picnic is bigger in scale, with two days of concerts, so if you love live music and an open-air vibe — that's the one. The Cabaret Night is a single strong evening, great if you happen to be on the water around 10 July. Both fit comfortably alongside a cruise.

How do I combine a festival with a cruise in Masuria? Base yourself in Mikołajki or Giżycko, cruise all week, and on concert day step ashore and drive to Mrągowo (20-25 km from Mikołajki). You can't sail a charter yacht to the amphitheatre by Lake Czos, so plan on getting there by road.

Where can I buy tickets for these events? Only from official, third-party sellers: for the Country Picnic via piknikcountry.pl, ebilet.pl or kupbilecik; for the Cabaret Night via mazurskanockabaretowa.pl or kupbilecik. NaCzarter does not sell tickets.

Can you reach the Mrągowo amphitheatre by yacht? No. Lake Czos isn't connected by a navigable route to the main lakes where charter yachts sail. Mrągowo is a land trip from your base — closest from Mikołajki.

Is anything else going on in July and August besides Mrągowo? Yes — every summer brings passenger boat cruises, harbour concerts and fairs in Giżycko, Mikołajki and Węgorzewo, plus regattas on the route in August. Exact dates can shift, so keep an eye on the organisers' websites and local social pages.
