How much does it cost to rent a sailboat in Masuria: the answer in numbers
A week on a sailboat in July and August typically costs 3850 PLN. That is the median of the owners' 2026 price lists on NaCzarter; the range is 1400 to 8750 PLN. Off-peak a week starts at 1400 PLN and a day at 200 PLN. Mandatory fees and a refundable deposit are paid on site.
All figures below are the charter price alone, without promotions or marina fees. The median means half the sailboats were cheaper and half dearer. It beats a bare "from", because the bottom of the range holds a few of the smallest boats and the top the largest yachts. Sailboat prices by month, 2026 season
The charter season in Masuria runs from May to October. Prices break down like this:

June is already expensive: median 3360 PLN, only 490 PLN below high summer. September drops back to May levels: 2730 PLN versus 2660 PLN. The "day from" column is the cheapest boats' rate. In July and August owners rarely sell it, because charter weeks run Saturday to Saturday.
What pushes up the price of a sailboat
The spread from 1400 to 8750 PLN for the same week comes down to four things.
- Length and year built. Median hull length of sailboats on NaCzarter is 8.3 m (as of autumn 2026). The offer includes recent yachts as well as older, cheaper boats. On the price list, a new three-cabin yacht close to 10 m sits far from a 7-metre boat well over a decade old.
- Berths. The vast majority of sailboats on offer take 7 to 10 people, and small boats for two or four are few. More berths and cabins mean a higher rate for the yacht but a lower cost per head, because more people share it.
- Dates. July and August are the peak: charter weeks run Saturday to Saturday and the price list is at its highest. The May and September medians are 1190 PLN and 1120 PLN below the peak, about 30 percent.
- Charter length. In September the cheapest day is 200 PLN and the cheapest week 1400 PLN, exactly seven days. On bigger yachts the daily rate rises, and in the peak the owner prefers a full week anyway. Which option suits whom, we break down in charter by the day or by the week.
A weekend on a sailboat: what two or three days cost
Off-peak the lowest daily rate is 200 PLN (September and October) or 220 PLN (May and June). A weekend from Friday afternoon to Sunday, two days, thus starts at 400 PLN, three days at 600 PLN. A bigger boat for 8 people costs more. The daily rate is in the quote for your dates.
In July and August a weekend is hard to get. An owner who hands you the yacht from Friday to Sunday breaks up two Saturday charter weeks and leaves the rest of both empty. Short peak slots appear after a cancellation or in a gap between charter weeks and end up as last-minute offers.

Cost per person: let's do the maths for six friends
Take the Antila 27, one of the more popular sailboats in Masuria. The hull is 8.24 m, above the 7.5 m limit for sailing without a license, so someone on board needs one. Owners declare up to 10 people. Six sleep on it comfortably. We take the median peak week.
- 3850 PLN a week split between 6 people is about 640 PLN each for seven days.
- 640 PLN over 7 days is just under 92 PLN per person per day, accommodation and transport in one.
- The deposit, median 1500 PLN, is 250 PLN per head for the cruise. It comes back once the yacht is returned undamaged, so it is frozen cash, not a cost.
The same six in September pay 455 PLN each for the week at the 2730 PLN median. With eight people, the July median splits into about 480 PLN per head. So whoever organizes the group should count people first and pick the yacht second.
What you pay on site
The charter price is not the whole cruise budget. Mandatory fees with amounts appear in the booking summary before you confirm. On site you pay:
- Refundable deposit. The median for sailboats on NaCzarter is 1500 PLN, range 150 to 5000 PLN (as of autumn 2026). Settled on site, usually in cash, and returned when you hand the yacht back. What the owner may deduct for, we explain in the article on the deposit for a yacht charter in Masuria.
- Mandatory fees. Most often final cleaning. The amount depends on the owner and the yacht. Bed linen or a dog on board are paid options. Their amounts are in the article on what is not included in the charter price.
- Fuel. A typical charter sailboat has an outboard petrol engine of about 6 hp, a 12 l tank and, according to owners, burns about 2 l per hour. With most owners you collect the yacht with a full tank and return it full, or settle the consumption at the marina after the cruise. Under sail the engine runs mainly in canals and in port, so it is a minor item.
- Parking. For most yachts on offer, parking at the marina is a paid option, median 25 PLN per day. If it is not on the price list, ask the owner.
- Marinas and food. A night in a marina is paid separately by its price list, depending on the yacht's length. A night at anchor in a sheltered bay outside the fairway, with an anchor light on, costs nothing. Budget for food as on any trip. There are shops in Giżycko, Mikołajki, Węgorzewo and Ruciane-Nida.
2027 season: 2026 prices are a reference point, not an offer
The first 2027 price lists appear in autumn; most owners publish them in winter. So the table above describes the 2026 season and serves budget planning, not booking. Until then, allow some margin.
