There is a whole fleet of Twister 26s at the Giżycko base — so several befriended crews can set out at the same time on identical yachts and hold friendly races all holiday long. This particular boat dates from 2014. The parameters: 7.8 m long, 2.7 m wide, 34 m² of sail and a 5 hp engine. Eight berths in a 4+4 layout plus one enclosed cabin are enough for a week-long cruise at full strength. The lifting ballast fin (0.4–1.5 m) opens up shallow bays, a lazy jack makes tidying up after dropping the main easier, and the galley holds a gas stove, kettle and dishes.
