Hornet 29

The Hornet 29 from 2011 proves that 8.7 metres can hold a genuinely big crew: ten berths in an 8+2 layout and three enclosed cabins make it a yacht for trips in numerous company — the dog included, since pets are welcome. The yacht carries 40 m² of sail with a beam of 3.1 m, and a draft of 0.4 to 1.5 m opens up shallow bays and wild anchorages. The auxiliary 10 hp engine with a 12-litre tank covers manoeuvres and passages on windless days, and lazy jacks speed up dousing the main. Below deck there is heating; the galley has a gas stove, a built-in fridge, a kettle and dishes, the cockpit a table, plus a chemical toilet. The boat is based at the Sun Bila marina in Bogaczewo. It can optionally be hired with a skipper.
